According to Debora, the location may be a factor to ponder, especially when the recruiter received a large number of applications. If more candidates are interested in the job, the higher are the chances to employ someone who lives closer to the business.
By checking the experience section, head-hunters may examine how long a person stayed in each organisation, and which companies she has worked in the past. If an applicant comes from the competition, it may indicate he/she knows how to do the job.
In regards to qualification, sometimes the intuition where the person has studied may be relevant, as well.
As stated by the specialist, the resume is a document, and job-hunters should organise the content in a way to make it easy for hiring managers to find what they need.
“You should write your resume not to lose points with the recruiter. I usually say that in the beginning, you have 100 points. As you make mistakes in your CV or during the interview, the hiring manager is lowering your scores. It is not the other way around. Some people think you have zero points, and as you talk to the recruiter, you earn points,” she explained.
“The recruiter wants to hire you. He has many other positions to fill. He is willing to employ someone as soon as possible because, in many cases, the employers have an urgency to make a placement happen,” she added.
